These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Starterlyst website and services.
By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Services
Starterlyst provides product design, engineering, and MVP development services on a project or time-boxed engagement basis.
All work is scoped and agreed upon before kickoff.
2. Project Acceptance
Submission of a form or inquiry does not guarantee acceptance.
Starterlyst reserves the right to:
- Accept or decline any project
- Determine appropriate engagement type (project vs retainer)
3. Payments
- All fees are agreed upon before work begins
- Payments are made via Stripe
- Work begins only after payment is received
Unless otherwise stated in writing:
Payments are non-refundable once work has started
4. Scope & Changes
Project scope is defined before kickoff.
Requests outside the agreed scope may require:
- Additional time
- Additional fees
- A new agreement
5. Communication
Primary communication happens via:
- Private Slack channel (for active projects)
We provide proactive updates but do not offer on-demand or 24/7 support.
6. Intellectual Property
Upon full payment:
- You own the final deliverables created specifically for your project
Starterlyst retains the right to:
- Reuse non-confidential learnings, patterns, and generalized techniques
- Reference the project in portfolios or case notes unless otherwise agreed
7. Confidentiality
We treat client project information as confidential and do not share it without permission, except as required to deliver services.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Starterlyst is not liable for indirect or consequential damages
- Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific engagement
- We do not guarantee business outcomes, revenue, or user adoption.
9. Termination
Either party may terminate an engagement according to the agreed scope or at the end of a time-boxed engagement.
Fees paid for work already performed remain due.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms occasionally.
Continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
